I was lucky enough to be invited to see the Yr 6 performance of 'Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies at The Atkinson on Friday 3rd July. Well I was blown away by the performance!! such talented & confident children. Excellent performances from all the who took part whether it was one of the main characters or part of the chorus. It was amazing. So thank you to all who were involved, children, teachers & parents who made it possible & well done!

This week was the battle of the champions. Today we watched the Grand National. The senior management team won yet the teachers won the battle overall. We really liked the all day disco yesterday. Our favourite songs to dance to were Uptown Funk, Shake it off and Happy. Miss Lucas had the best costume as she had face paint on to be a minion. It was funny when Lucy tried to take Mr Kings woody hat.

This morning we watched the Grand National Battle of Champions and the teachers won. The hungry hippos was our favourite one and the sports ambassadors won.

Wow!! I can't believe I left this amazing school 3 1/2 years ago! It feels like so much has happened since then. I really miss all my friends and I hope to catch up with some of them very soon. I also miss the loving, hardworking teachers that practically formed the majority of my childhood! Looking back on the website brings back so many memories: good and bad. Thank you to everyone who made an amazing mark in my life during the time I was here! :) :) :)

A message to thank all Year 5 children and all staff involved in yesterday’s lovely show. Children I have always quite fancied seeing more of the world – if only time travel had really been invented it would be possible to cut out airports and long journeys! However yesterday you took us, the audience, on a wonderful journey, ‘All Around the World’. You took us to so many destinations and very respectfully told us of so many cultures, even speaking phrases from different languages and singing some of the songs in some countries’ mother tongue (all very impressive)! Through music and dance you took us into lands far beyond the UK in the cold of February. Your final song may well have wobbled the ozone layer over Churchtown’s spot in the world as it was amazing, I will remember it and the show again and again and again and recall all of your lovely faces as you sang your hearts out. Thank you – from Hazel Gee
