National Healthy School Status Award

Churchtown Primary School gained National Healthy School Status Award in 2006 and are committed to encouraging children to have a healthy lifestyle and are part of the National Review to keep raising standards in PSHCE.

The four areas covered are PSHE, Physiclal Activity, Healthy Eating and SEAL.
The latest School Review approved by Sefton was in September 2012 and is renewed every three years.
We enjoy being active, eating healthily and keeping our minds alert and are always committed to encouraging children and staff to lead healthy lifestyles.
We are now looking forward to our next challenge...!

Our Healthy School Reps meet to discuss ways in which we can improve the delivery of PSHE during the year in the form of many initiatives and competitions.
They have many good ideas. Their latest enterprise is selling fruit from a fruit cart every Tuesday so that all children can have a snack at morning break. They have also decided to have a stall at the annual Summer Fair, offering fruity games, advice and information, as well as selling fruit.
