5K demonstrate the illusions of Space!
This week, Jacob asked the question, "why do the Sun and Moon appear to be the same size in the sky if we know that the Sun is larger?" To understand this, we took our iPads onto the playground and investigated the relationship between distance and size. From this, we learned that although the Sun is larger, it is 400 times farther away than the Moon and so that is why they appear to be the same size. We had a lot of fun - Mrs Taylor even got involved!
