Southport Schools Unite

Southport Learning Partnership Mufti Day for the Foodbank

Southport primary and secondary schools joined forces under the auspices of Southport Learning Partnership to support the ‘Love My Community’ project. Children of all ages abandoned their uniform for the day and donated food or money to support Southport Foodbank. Schools who participated on Friday 12th February sent 2 representatives to Meols Cop High School for a photo opportunity with a very grateful John Sullivan representing the foodbank.  If you look closely at the photo you might spot your friends from one of these primaries-Holy Trinity, Our Lady of Lourdes, Farnborough Rd Infants and Juniors, Shoreside, Birkdale, St John’s, Linaker, Kew Woods, Holy Family and Churchtown. Christ the King joined MCHS from the secondary sector.

This has been a wonderful collaborative effort from all involved and showed the care, love and consideration Southport children
