eco club
The Eco Champions at our school are always very busy. They have carried out an environmental review and from this created an action plan mainly focusing on the following three areas, biodiversity, recycling & waste and protecting marine life. To raise awareness of these areas the children have carried out assemblies and taken part in activities such as beach cleans with Green Sefton, planted plants in our playground, carried out school litter picks, rolled out a bottle top art competition, created a bottle top piece of art work, a book swap and much more!
We are now working on ‘biodiversity’ and hope to do a ‘park clean’ in Botanic Gardens, create a wildflower area and create bird baths and feeders.
We are so proud of our Champions and cannot wait to complete further ‘green’ work and achieve the Green Flag status.
