Rugby Success at Merchant Taylors!

On Monday afternoon, 11 children from Years 5 and 6 took part in a Tag Rugby Festival held at Merchant Taylors School, achieving victories in all of their matches!
6 schools entered teams, including Bishop Martin and Merchant Taylors Junior Boys. Throughout the afternoon, Churchtown Primary School played matches against all of the teams entered and achieved a win in each match. With the afternoon having emphasis on inclusion, the children from Churchtown Primary School demonstrated outstanding levels of respect for one another and a determination to work together in unity for positive results.
During the Autumn term, the 11 children have been attending a weekly after school rugby training session, focusing on improving their rugby skill set and the importance of working as a team. The hard work the children have shown during the after school training was very much on display at the Tag Rugby Festival.
