Merseyside Sports Partnership 2016

For the second consecutive year we won the Sefton nomination as the Primary School of the Year at the Merseyside Sports Partnership Awards. This nomination recognises the schools commitment to sport and links with local clubs and the nomination would not have been received without the ‘have a go’ attitude of the children, the support of the parents and staff who have all contributed in their own way whether it be watching, encouraging, transporting, organising or washing the children and kit.

The awards ceremony was held at Aintree Racecourse and was attended by representatives from each borough of Merseyside, several local Olympians/Paralympians including the table tennis player Jack Hunter -Spivey who spoke inspirationally regarding his career and the issues he has had to overcome to reach the top in his sport.

Well done and thank you to everyone who has contributed in whatever way to making Churchtown once again the most successful sporting school in Sefton.
