Easter Farmers Market 2017
Friday 24th March, the sun was shining and the farmers market was ready and waiting to welcome our children and families. New stall holders were making their debut and our regulars were continuing to support us.
The playground became a hive of activity from 1pm when the team sprang into action helping the stall holders set up their stalls. Gates were opened at 2:15, and our busiest ever market was open. The atmosphere was relaxed and happy, and the arrival of the Easter Bunny caused much excitement.
The competitions were extremely well supported, the Easter Bonnets were nothing short of stunning making it a tough job for two of our local residents to decide on the winners, Kayden Dandy (1W) and Gharam Eladawi (3B) won the Easter Bonnet Parade. We also had an array of decorated eggs, and the winners were Francesca Brown (1W) and Lara Haworth (5MN).
Mrs Seddon very kindly donated a childrens hamper for the raffle which was won by Grace Bowen and Moisters Funeral Directors donated a prize hamper for the adults, which was a winner for Karen Ward. Congratulations to all!
We also enjoyed a fantastic performace from our very own wonderful Churchtown Choir, many thanks to Mrs Roberts and Mrs Bowers.
Thanks to all the stall holders; Queenscourt Hospice, CLF, Moss House Plants, Purely Pizza, Botantic Gardens Ice Cream Cart, Churchtown Deli, Crystal Jewellery, All The Pretty Things, Graham Eyes, Fairtrade Stall, Fairy Wish, Kylies Cakes, Its A Bow Thing, Perfect Somosas, The Cheese Counter, Churchtown PTA and Fab Party Bags.
