Year 5's Victorian Day!

Today, Year 5 were transported back in time for a special 'Victorian Day' in school where they gained first-hand experience of what it would be like to be a child in school during this period!

The children were very surprised when they came into school and were greeted by some rather strict teachers! After paying handing over some money, they were registered with their Victorian names and sat down for lessons on the 3 Rs (Reading, wRiting, aRithmetic). Throughout the day, they had to stand and recite facts, perform a drill in the hall and many more activities that involved real Victorian equipment. Although they were learning under much stricter conditions, the children had a great day!
