Howzatt for a day out?

A group of cricketing enthusiasts recently attended the first day of the County Championship game between Lancashire and the reigning champions Middlesex

The children enjoyed a magnificent days cricket and then had the bonus of watching England fast bowler and record wicket taker Jimmy Anderson (above) going through his paces as he practiced during the lunch period as part of his preparation for the forthcoming test series against South Africa.

The group also had their photograph taken with Lancashire legend Glenn Chapple (above), who after a twenty year career with the county and nearly 1000 wickets is now the first team coach and 1st  XI regularLuke Proctor (below)

Before the game had even started however the group had a quick chat and a photo with the former Gloucester and England wicket keeper 'Jack' Russell who was there promoting his artwork.

A wonderful time was had by the group who enjoyed their day watching and meeting cricketing superstars from the past and present.
