National Careers Week 2016!
This week, the whole school celebrated National Careers Week!
The week began with the children being presented with a poster of many teachers and teaching assistants from across the school and a list of quotations relating to previous jobs held before working at Churchtown Primary School. All week, the children have been using their reasoning and investigation skills to try and find out who did what! The answers were revealed at the end of the week and there were some shocking revelations!
Year 5 were also treated to their own Careers Fair over the week. They were visited by Rebecca Lim (midwife), Maria Parry (radiographer), Mark Waller (football doctor), Howard Morris (commercial director) our very own Mr Bateman! Mrs Musselle will also be bringing in her art work next week to show the children what a book illustrator does! The children have learned a lot about their different careers and were enthralled by all the unique stories! The Year 5 children have gone home this week remembering to have a 'growth mindset' and push themselves to get to where they want to be.
Thank you to all our visitors this week - you gave the Year 5 children a lot to think about! Year 6 are now looking forward to their Careers Fair later in the year.
