On Monday 5th March, Year 5 enjoyed a fun-filled day in Liverpool. Our first stop was the Museum of Liverpool. The children were able to delve deeper into the history and archaeology of Liverpool and unearth the secrets of the city, from the Ice Age to the present day. They were able to be history detectives exploring a timeline of 10,000 years of history, they even had a sneak peek of the Victorians in preparation for our Summer 1 topic.
After the children had explored the world of history, we travelled a short distance to the Liverpool Philharmonic. The children were treated to a spectacular, interactive performance from Liverpool’s world-class symphony orchestra in a fun, educational and interactive concert. This was a truly fabulous experience for the children, they were able to discover the power of orchestral music which captured the pupils’ imagination and inspired a love of music with a few scientific twists. The day certainly didn't disappoint!
