Summer Term Homework

Summer Term Homework
Homework until the end of the summer term will be reading, (remember the Reading Lottery), practising spellings, multiplication tables and a science project.
This summer term, something exciting is happening at Churchtown Primary School! We will be holding a ‘Summer of Science’. All year groups will be engaged in learning focused around different aspects of science, from space and astronomy, to bees and pollination and lots in between!
Summer Term Homework Project
The theme for homework across the whole school during the summer term will be Science. We want to see families getting involved and adults collaborating with children, to create a family project which you can work on as a team. The theme for the Reception project is Dinosaurs. Year 5’s project will be based around the Science Fair which they are already working towards.
Years 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 might like to choose a famous scientist or inventor to research, or base a project around an area of science that you are really interested in, such as electricity, weather forces, food chains, growing plants or magnets. Perhaps you have an idea for a scientific invention of your own?
Projects can be presented in any way you choose; a model, a display, a poster, a book, even a song or a video! Use your imagination – the sky is the limit!
