Children in Need / Hello Yellow
Hello Yellow / Children in Need 2018
As a School Council we have been discussing our chosen charity for this year. We continue to support Community Link Foundation (CLF) and on Friday 16th November, Children in Need Day, we will be asking the children to raise money for both CLF and Children in Need.
As this day falls on the same day as our ‘Churchtown Hello Yellow’ day we are asking that children wear something yellow on this day, in recognition of mental health. Children can come to school dressed in mufti, in something yellow and wear Pudsey related accessories.
Throughout the day we will be taking part in lots of activities, which will link to raising awareness of our mental health, reducing the stigma and encouraging everyone to talk about their mental health and wellbeing.
The KS2 Wellbeing Champions and School Council will be holding a cake sale during buddy playtimes on Friday 16thNovember. We are hoping to raise money to support Community Link Foundation and Children in Need. We would really appreciate any donations of cakes either homemade or bought.
Please send cakes in to school with your child on the day.
Cakes will be sold priced at 50p each.
Don’t forget to wear odd socks on
Monday 12thNovember to mark the beginning of Behaviour Awareness Week.
